Welcome to Lodge Linga Longa! By booking or staying with us, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms outline your responsibilities as a guest and our policies to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone at our lodge in Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

1. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via phone, email, or in person. We do not offer online booking.
  • A deposit may be required to secure your booking, with the balance due upon arrival.
  • We accept cash payments only, as outlined in our payment policy.
  • All rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change without notice.

2. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is 12:00 PM.
  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional fees.
  • Guests must provide valid identification upon check-in for registration purposes.

3. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

  • Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your arrival date to receive a full refund of your deposit.
  • Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will forfeit the deposit.
  • No-shows without prior notice will be charged the full booking amount.
  • For events, cancellation terms will be specified in your event agreement.

4. Guest Responsibilities

  • Guests are responsible for any damage to lodge property caused by themselves or their party. Repair or replacement costs will be charged accordingly.
  • Smoking is not permitted in rooms or indoor areas. Designated smoking areas are available.
  • Pets are not allowed on the premises unless prior arrangements are made with management.
  • Guests must adhere to noise regulations and respect other guests, especially after 10:00 PM.

5. Children and Family Policy

  • Children aged 0–12 stay free when sharing a room with an adult, as per our family policy.
  • Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times, especially around the pools and outdoor areas.

6. Events and Functions

  • Event bookings (e.g., functions, conferences) require a separate agreement with specific terms, including deposits and cancellation policies.
  • The lodge provides event facilities like an outdoor stage, data projector, and white screen, subject to availability.
  • Guests are responsible for any damages during events and must adhere to agreed-upon event timelines.

7. Liability

  • Lodge Linga Longa is not liable for loss or damage to guests’ personal property during their stay.
  • Guests use the lodge facilities, including pools and outdoor areas, at their own risk. We are not responsible for injuries or accidents.
  • We are not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond our control, such as power outages (though we have solar power to mitigate loadshedding).

8. Housekeeping and Facilities

  • Rooms are serviced daily unless otherwise requested.
  • Facilities like Wi-Fi, pools, and the braai area are provided as-is, and availability may be affected by maintenance or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Wood and braai packs are available for purchase for the braai area.

9. Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The updated terms will be posted on our website with the effective date.
